Payet

Overweight and disinterested and who can blame him, should of built team around him
Bought in pile of shit ( tight arse board ) Manager can't decide on a formation Too many injuries ( shit training and shit training facilities) Tries to make things happen but has Noble and Kouyate in midfield who play sideways and back and both can't pass
Can you blame him if he goes?

I'd first blame the club for not tieing him down to a long term contract, if he goes.

Re: Payet

Is this the same Payet we had pretty much the same team around last season and he was amazing?
Theres only one person to blame if he's overweight and disinterested and thats him, he tried hard, got into the French team, probably thought he'd get bought....didn't, now he doesn't give a shit and is collecting his large pay check.

If I was as "fat" as Payet my wife would be extremely happy and I don't think I'm overweight....

Re: Payet

Perhaps he needs a club that's not solely reliant on him to perform week in week out, but at his age, can share the weight of expectations with others..
To build a team around Payet is to short term now. We should build a team around Lanzini.

Yes, the reason for Payed putting on a few kilos is definitely due to the formation we play.

What the Stoat said.
Payet noticeably avoids many obvious clear passes to Cresswell on a forward overlap now, preferring to pass inside (sometimes to 'nobody' or even the opposition), presumably because he has been instructed to sprint back and cover Cressy's temporary absence if the attack breaks down, and he doesn't fancy it much.
Along with Lanzini and Ayew, Payet does not seem too keen on his defensive duties. Perhaps the concept of attacking on the break, with 60/70 yard sprints from a deep position, does not appeal..?
The man is different class in some respects, but over time we are seeing what has held him back in the past.

On his day the best we have by far but when he leaves, watch Lanzini flourish and the other players take on more responsibility.
We'll be fine when he goes and it was nice while it lasted.

Ungrateful cunts.
Best player I've ever seen in our shirt. And you get the usual pricks "oh he doesn't defend enough" he plays the same role as hazard neymar ronaldo, you don't here people complain that they don't defend.
He's an attacking flair player just enjoy it while we have him.

Re: Payet

Some of Payet's play has been criminal this year, low percentage passes and through balls mixed with no attempt to close down, let alone win a ball back.
He has cost us as many points as he has won us this year.

Most of the players you have named have full world class teams around them. Payet doesn't. As such, there is a job to be done in OUR team, not all of which is about producing a few seconds of magic.
Similar situation to the one Joe Cole found himself in on arrival at Chelsea. Everyone does everything. It is often 'hidden' by the sheer hard work, ability, fitness and movement of top sides.
No doubt we'll see an example of it later today...
Payet would not get away with his current work rate at any of the top 4/5 clubs in the PL.

Re: Payet

Yes I can and will blame him if he goes. His been pretty average all season. He needs to work harder defensively, when he does get back he just leans in to players instead of putting his foot in.
Last season as gone we need him to up his game, since when as he grabbed a game by the bollocks and run things. His corners free kicks are mostly pants. Bilic to worried to drop him. His either not bothered now or lacking confidence.

Created more chances than any other player in the premier league this season. Scored last minute winner in league cup, a great free kick against liverpool and goal of the season with boro. He best is still to come from him this season. Have FAITH

Re: Payet

He's pretty much undroppable and he knows that!!... so what ever he does he knows his name will always be first on the team sheet!!... where's his motivation?.. if he doesn't fancy it on any given day then it makes no difference to him he still plays!! He would not get away with that at a top team and to be honest he'd struggle to even get into teams like Real Madrid!
i wouldn't be surprised though if he put a big shift in today as we're playing Man U!
